we went to A-Basin
went to a-basin today.. that place is KILLER for pow-pow.. there are not many people riding there so u have lots of bowls, open fields and treeruns for yourself.. and u can find deep stuff too and its got good elevation.. duno how deep it was today, but im pretty sure u can drown in it.. i mean its sooo fluffy! never ridden anythin like it before...

uppdate up to date
time for a recap.. what has happend?!
well, guess you've seen I've been posting some videos. We bring our camera up every day and film anything we feel like and in the end of every week me and bralle sit down with a beer and do some editing.. so there will be a new video every week, enjoy! (then we dont have to tell how riding is... hehe)
soo.. we've mostly been riding keystone and Breckenridge so far and we kinda find our way round those mtns now.. which is nice.. been shreddin pretty much everything from park to pow! the parks are awesome, there are lots of them and they come in different sizes hehe
and guess what! we got a car!! and not just ANY car.. a 2004 chev blazer!! :) heres the story:
we met this random girl on the bus, wondering if we were speakin swedish.. she knew some swedes and thought our language sounded familiar.. a few days later, on our way home from key, we met here again and we started chatting.. we soon got to know that she had a car but just had here drivers-license taken from here, for drunk-driving.. so we thought this was our chance.. we asked her if she was interestin in letting us rent her car, its actually kinda wierd to ask someone you've met 1 time before such a thing hehe but we wanted a car soo badly.. and yes, she was fine with that :)
we havent paid for it yet and sometimes she says we can borrow it for free, but it feels kinda wierd with such a new car so we gona give here some money for it.. its soo unreal!
Last week we went to Steamboat, its like 1,5h drive from here, to see Marias sister Isa compete in giant slalom. She's in a ski-college in Montana and did really good and got on 6th place (got some clips from that in v8-movie) We had a really good day, started drinkin beer in the sun at 11am and didnt stop until midnight!
This Monday we went to Vail. too bad weather wasnt on our side.. we got there pretty late, but it didnt really matter, after two laps we got sick of the flat-light so we went down for some nachos and beer.. when it was time for us to go home it had been dumping for a while and the snow was pretty heavy by now. som truck had slid off the road so we were stuck in Vail for 2h... when we finally could start moving, we weren't the only ones goin home and the roads we really slippery so we kept 35mph (56km/h) all the way home, wasnt the funnies drive ive had...
well, all bad things brings something good, right? next morning the awfull weather had turned into amazing powder, yay! so it was time for us to check out A-basin (4th resort here so far). From what we'd heard, this was the place to go for powder. For some reason, we got there pretty late but there was still LOTS of untuched pow-pow.. had some really fun runs thru the bowls and in the trees.. this place was amazing and we got some fun fotage (will show in next video) we only rode until 1pm, was too tired to keep goin after all deep snow we had gone thru :)
Today, Amanda (the girl with the car) was goin to lake tahoe so we thought we could give her a drive to the airport and spend the day in denver, left home at 3am (after pretty much no sleep) got to the airport before the sun and 7am we were downtown... hmm.... what do u do in a big city that early?? we killed some time at starbucks and then started explore the city.. we didnt look up any stores before we got there, and we didnt find any good ones while we were there either.. but the place was nice and clean and had lotsa cool old buildings.. we ended our visit by goin to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and went to iMax and saw some movie about Grand Canyon (it was cool)
luckily we got home pretty early, we were all exhausted..
time to enjoy a 10h sleep now!

key, breck, bralles birfday
we have been here for 1 week now, feels like a lot longer.. but its been a good week!
been at keystone twice, did some hiking to a not-so-good powder-run (looked good from far, but was far from good) and also checked out the park(s).. they were sweet! its like 4 or 5 parks put together next to each other.. wasnt too many small features, but LOTS of BIG stuff... we will see how much time we will spend in there haha..
also been to breck twice, its a fun mtn for sure, got a few parks and some really fun slopes with lots of small hits to play on. bralle and me has been jibbin everything in our way!
and yesterday was bralles birthday, we celebrated that by doin some fun riding in key, had a few beers in the village, made a cake with raspberrys, blueberrys, smartys and marshmallows.. then we went out for dinner to this place Red mtn grill... well what ever u do, dont go there.. our food wasnt even warm and marias food wasnt even eatable, some slimy fish-thing.. naa... wasnt too stoked about that.. but after the "food" we went to our local brewery, the dam-brewery and had some beer.. the cool thing about this place is that u can buy a 2l-"kettle" (?) with beer and bring it home. when ur done with it, u just come back and refill it... ye, isnt that cool!! and its cheap too, we got 5beers and that "kettle" (or whatever u call it) for 18dollars!!! thats like robbing the place, hehe.. we wil definetly come back, especially since we got that "u know what i mean" :)
well, thats what happend here the last few days, eatin good and drinkin good (mostly)! havent found a car yet, we get more and more annoyed by the busses every day, so on wed we might head to denver and have a look there to see if we find smth good.. anything is good for us, maybe a hummer H2, dont really care, just want a car..
well, time for me to get some sleep now, bralle and maria are sleeping since long ago (same story every night hehe) we got a big day comin tomorow with lots of shreddin in breck!!

silverthorne, CO
WE ARE IN COLORADO!
yes, we finally arrived in the state of fluffy powder runs and endless parks :) well, duno know for real yet, havent been up the mtns yet....
well, after paying lotsa money for heavy luggage (!) on the plane i arrived at Denver airport around 2.30pm on monday, got my luggage strait away (for once), and headed over to the intl arrivals to wait for bralle and maria (who were supose to arive 1h after me..) 2h later they still hadnt arrived and i kept watchin snowb vids on ma laptop (could have been worse hehe)
yay, it was nice to see them again, they came strait out from an insane powder week in Disentis, Austria, so I think there smiles were as big as mine :D
took the bus to Frisco, took 1.5h, arrived round 8.30pm (yea, i spent some time at the airport) took the next bus from frisco to Silverthorne (where we now live), got to silverthorne, out with all our 7 BIG bags + handluggage, and waited for the third and last bus that would take us up the hill to our casa... the only problems now where we didnt know where to collect our key (since the office were closed) and we also didnt know exactly where were gona live, we knew the street but didnt know how to get there.. the busdriver (who was a real a-hole) didnt make it any easier by not telling us where Silverqueen Rd was (even though he knew it) and nor did he allow us to put our bags in the bus (like we cared..ha!) Luckily i met a lot of nice americans in Cali, otherwise i would hate americans more than ever by now!!
well, nough of hating now hehe.. as i said before, we have NOT been up riding yet... why? well, first day we had to do some shopping, paid all rent that was left, got an extra key to the appt, sorted out some more stuff, started looking for a car, we really need a car, or, ye we need one and we want one.. but theres not a lot of cars that matches our economy, so we just have to keep our eyes open..
Today we went to Breckenridge, pretty cool village, kind of a cowboy city-feeling.. lots of bars, restaurants and shops. i bought a t-shirt, and bralle and maria bought pants and boots..
to get home from breck u need to take 3 buses, wich kinda sucks, especially when the last one takes a BIG detour and u end up sitting on the buses for almost 2h.. takes 30min by car... YES, WE NEED A CAR..! hehe
well thats all for now, heres some pics from colorado! take care!

NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE
me, karl and daniel went to northstar at tahoe today... we´ve been talking about going there from the beginging i got here (and ive been thinkin about it since the day i booked my flight here..) and now it was finally time to check out the resort we had seen and heard so much about..
well, we woke up to a blue sky and fresh pow outside our window.. so a better start wasnt to ask for :) the fact that the forecast said snow and clouds in northstar didnt bother us, well, i wanted to go there no matter what (!) hehe..
after spending some time tryin to find a parking spot, we were ready to rip YEAH! we were stoked to shred this place!! :)
well... it was sunday, and this place is pretty popular, on sundays in particular.. soo we spent some time in the liftline wondering why everyone else had to pick the same day as us.. but we had lots of fun riding! did some filming and took some photos and got some funny fotage (video is on the way..)
to sum it up, this place was superfun, weather wasnt allways on our side and we definetly werent alone, but the parks were awesome and nothing could stop us from having a great time! the village actually reminds us a bit of whistler, looks more high class (?!) than the other resorts we've been to hehe
and now im having my last nite in lake tahoe with the boyz, feels kinda wierd to leave, ive had a great time over here and it feels like ive been here for an eternity, its been sunny allmost everyday and we've been riding in hoodies/shirts (in january!!) so Thanks daniel, karl and marcus for letting me stay at ur casa!!
Tomorrow i leave at 5.47am to denver! (flying via phoenix, wich kinda sucks, im sick of flying now hehe) its gona be awesome to finally hook up with maria and bralle and check out the Colorado mtns! which was the main part of this winter trip.. see u soon guys!

Sierra at Tahoe
went to Sierra at Tahoe the other day.. left the house 7.30 am and head down to the busstop.. 40min later we finally arrived to the place I've heard so much about since I was a kid.. Happily (?!) paid the 64dollars for the day pass, hoping i wouldnt regret it hehe.. the mtn was really small, but the slopes were well groomed so we had some good warmup-runs supercarving all the way down.. :)
we tried one of the smaller parks, but riding went really bad so we went down for a break... the afternonn we went to another park we heard about, newly built.. and DAMN!! that park was sick! FUNNIEST PARK EVER!! it was perfect built for doin lines, wasnt too crowded and with temperatures rising to +17°C life was SWEET!! :D
tried to do some filming and since it was my last and only day at sierra I got to be filmed.. duno if it was good or not, but the filmnerves did their job and i didnt land much haha (video will apear soon..) but it was a fun and unforgetable day!

park laps
well, im havin a great time over here.. life is soo good.. sleepin til 12 every day, breakfast, goin to the lift, 3 slow chairlifts up and ur on top of the mtn surrounded by the nevada desert.. the scenery is wicked!
3 good parks to choose between, they're pretty small but well shaped and the lineup is non excisting.. :) we just cruisin all day up there, no powder rush.. thats all for now

south lake tahoe
After 2 flights and 9h of travelling i finally arrived in Reno last night. my plane landed at 10.10pm and the bus to Tahoe was 10.30 (next one was 12.30) so i had 30min to get out of the plane and get me bags... I really didnt wana wait 2h at the airport super-tired in the middle of the night... I got my bags 10.28 no kidding....
1h on the bus thru the land of Casinos and a taxi ride up the last hill and i was there!!
Im staying with Daniel, a friend from last year in whistler, and his two friends. the house is sweet, 2 levels, pool-table, bbg, hot-tub and a nice patio!
sooo, today I had my first day at Heavenly. Its about 10min walk from where we live so u dont need to wait for any bus. it had been really warm lately so the base wasnt the best, but they recently had some snowfall so it was good enough for some shreddin. we spent all day shreddin one of the 3 parks they have, it was small but fun! all lifts are kinda old and slow, but theres no pretty much no one here so there were no lineups :)
had a bbq tonite with lotsa meat, so now we're all kinda dazed.. just sittin with our laptops waiting for anyone to login on msn hehe..
well, thats all for now, will bring the camera up tomorow to show how fun we have..

back in the travelling buissness..
sooo, after a few months working back home in sweden it was finally time to head east, cross the atlantic and step out on canadian ground. Back in Canada, back in BC and back in Whistler.. didnt feel wierd comin back or anything, actually felt pretty natural, this is where i should be when winter is arriving... :)
Arrived in whistler 'round 9pm, Jesse picked me up at the bus stop in creek and drove me to their casa.. after 24h of travelling i was pretty tired so fell asleep straight away..
whistler hadnt got snow in like 2-3weeks so there was now idea hiking for powder, actually the conditions were really bad, they had already had lots of deaths in avalanches so we sticked to the parks.. and they were GREAT! had some awesome sessions in there with my roommates and pple i knew from before..
was pretty jet-lagged the first days so spent the first evenings just sitting in the couch with ma laptop haha
well, last night in whistler we went to merlins there were some celtic punk-rock band playin called the Dreadnoughts, didnt know anythin about them but got invited to it by a friend and DAMN! they were good!! kinda like the dropkick murphys... it was a sweeet finish of my trip to whis..
well, now im on the airport on ma way to Lake Tahoe, CA, which is my 2nd stop ont my 09tour.. will be staying at a friends house in south lake tahoe, will be back with more info on that later, time for boarding soon!
oh forgot to tell u what happend on my way to Canada.. i allmost missed my flight to frankfurt from arlanda... then at frankfurt passport-controll.... well.. I had someones elses passport in ma pocket.... and here boardin pass...... oppps..... duno where it came from... luckilly i had my own to..... hehe

on the airport, yes my gate, will not "allmost" miss my flight this time haha..
